Next morning, our tour includes 4 Temples, Botanical Garden, Batik Factory. The temples are Kek Lok Si (Chinese) , Wat Chayia Monkalaram (Thai) , Burmese and Kwan Yin Temple (Chinese). We started off with the Thai and Burmese Temple, which is just opposite of each other. I even took a go at the 'Chiam See' at the Thai Temple. I wished for better results, i got the no. 9 and the lot said this:"Your present state is like fish steadily turning its appearance into a dragon. If you want to find some luck, it is advisable for you to go either to the southern or eastern direction of your residence. If you do this you are said to be like for instance, a boat sailing in the same direction of the wind blows.(.....Invalid part.....) Your luck in doing business and other things is good."I was told that my house's east and south are where the computers(east) and the kitchen is, i wondered: ' So my luck is in the computer and food, huh?=.=" ' I don't know the part about fish turning into dragon if it has to do with my results, i can't seems to see the similarities in them. I just hope the last sentence is true. After that, we went to the Kwan Yin Temple to pray and the guide tells us about the history. I released the birds from the cage too, 3RM for one. Next stop is the local product shop, it sells a lot of cuttlefish, nutmeg and some other hard-to-find products. We bought A LOT from the shop: 10 packs of nutmeg, 6 packs of crispy codfish, a packet of 'tao sau pah'. The local product shop gives sample before you buy, make sure you try them before buying. The prices are also fixed.
Batik Factory and Botanical Garden was next, since we went to the garden before, we did not went down instead we sat in the coach and waited for the others. At the Batik Factory, we watch the workers draw those beautiful flowers and butterflies. The batik is nice however, it is really expensive. In the end, we only window-shopped.
At last, lunch is here! We are brought to a restoran inside a YMCA building, not sure about its name. The food there is simply delicious! There were fish, meat, chicken and prawns, not much differences from the previous restorans, but their food is prepared in a different way. We ate with all our might.
Kek Lok Si Temple was our next destination. In English, it is known as 'Monastery of Supreme Bliss'. You need to climb quite a number of steps to reach the top or you can take a cab up. 3 of us waited at the shops below, the other 3 went up. As we are exploring the shops, i spotted a grain art shop, it simply writes your name or anything on a grain and make it into a necklace or handphone strap after putting the grain in a glass you chose. The price is only RM10, much cheaper than hougang mall's, i think. I bought one for myself and 5 others for my family.
